Growing up in Southeast Idaho, the Tetons were only a short drive away from home, although, most of my time in Grand Teton National Park was spent in my 20s. There are dozens of views to enjoy of the picturesque mountain range. Here are 6 views that are some of my favorite.

A few miles south of Yachats, Oregon, Cape Perpetua Overlook towers 800 feet high, offering heavenly views of the Pacific Ocean.

In that moment, the world felt so much smaller. Bigger troubles melted away. The exhaustion of being awake during ungodly hours disappeared. When the lights of the aurora rippled from the center to the edge of the sky, I almost heard the universe say “Hello.” 

Starting at the mouth of the Quillayute River, Rialto Beach stretches north with drift logs, dark sand, and cobblestones scattered throughout.

Cape Flattery, the most Northwest point in the contiguous United States, is located in the Makah Reservation on the Olympic Peninsula.

Nestled in the Northern Cascade Range, Laurance Lake in Oregon offers a picture-perfect view of Mt. Hood from the north side.
