Tree of Life and Ruby Beach

Found along the Olympic Peninsula, the roots of a Sitka spruce named the Kaloloch Tree of Life, clings to the sides of an eroding coastal bluff. For whatever reason, maybe out of spite, the tree continues to stand against all odds. Due to a storm in early 2025, the tree experienced structural damage causing it to sink lower.

While visiting Ruby beach, it was a tad bit cold and gloomy, but in the enchanting fashion nature wears so well. You could crawl or walk through the cavity of rocks on the green and gray shoreline and see the crashing waves on the other side. The sea stacks are also a worthy site, faded in ocean mist.
